BEFORE COOKING:

Before cooking we thoroughly rinse the cow udder and soak it for 2–3 hours in cold water. Then we cut it into medium-sized pieces.

COOKING:

We place it into boiling water. Cook for 1 hour. After 20 minutes from boiling, you can add a whole peeled and washed onion. Add your favorite spices, e.g., pepper, marjoram, allspice, bay leaf. Finally, salt to taste. Cook covered. The cow udder is cooked when a knife or fork can be inserted without difficulty.

SERVING SUGGESTION:

Cow udder is served with boiled vegetables, mashed potatoes, or cereals, seasoned to taste.
