Cook Honey Fungus

BEFORE COOKING:
Clean, wash, and dry the fresh honey fungus.
COOKING:
Place the honey fungus in cold water, ensuring there is enough water to completely cover the mushrooms. Cook the honey fungus for 60 minutes. Start timing from the moment the water reaches a boil. If uncertain about the type of mushroom being cooked, replace the water during cooking (once or twice) or refrain from consuming them! If there is no doubt, it is sufficient to replace the water only once. Remove any foam during cooking. Salt the water towards the end of cooking. Season to taste with pepper, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, marjoram, and bay leaf. Cook covered. The cooked mushrooms will be soft and delicate.
AFTER COOKING:
After cooking, drain and dry the honey fungus.
SERVING SUGGESTION:
Honey fungus can be enjoyed as a delicacy or as an accompaniment to other dishes (cereals, rice, or vegetables). They can also serve as an excellent main ingredient in a mushroom soup, marinade, or sauce.
Enjoy your meal!
